What does a circular knitting machine do:

In textile machinery, the circular knitting machine is relatively common and is one of the industrial textile equipment that factories often choose. So do you know what the circular knitting machine is used for?


The large circular knitting machine is a mechanical equipment for knitting fabrics, which is used to produce semi-finished fabrics such as underwear, sportswear, T-shirts and T-shirts that are usually worn. The products need to be dyed and processed before they can be made into clothes.


2. What is the working principle of the circular knitting machine?

Principle: The motor drives the pinion gear through the belt and pulley, and the latter drives the large plate gear with the needle cylinder fixed. The upper part of the frame is consolidated with the large plate gear, and the lower part is seated on the fixed bevel gear. When the large plate gear rotates, it drives the entire pulling and winding mechanism to rotate synchronously with the needle cylinder. At this time, the bevel gear meshed with the bevel gear 8 rotates, and the horizontal shaft is driven to rotate after being shifted by the transmission gear box. The sprocket fixed on one side of the horizontal shaft drives the sprocket through the chain, so that the pulling roller coaxial with the sprocket rotates for pulling. The sprocket fixed on the other side of the horizontal shaft drives the sprocket through the chain, so that the driving pulley coaxial with the sprocket rotates. The pulley drives the driven pulley through the belt, thereby driving the winding roller coaxial with the pulley to roll the cloth.


1. Use the needle selection mechanism to make the knitting needles work according to the pre-arranged program to knit jacquard knitted fabrics.

2. Use the carding mechanism to feed the loose fibers into the knitting needles to weave plush knitted fabrics.

3. Use the warp-inserting and weft-inserting device to weave warp-inserting and weft-inserting knitted fabrics. There are more than 350 kinds of knitting machines. With the development of new varieties of chemical fibers and finishing processes, the characteristics of knitted fabrics such as scratching, non-iron and wear resistance have been improved. The application of finishing techniques such as brushing, sanding, shearing, embossing and pleating has expanded the variety of knitwear.


3. The working process of the circular knitting machine

1. In the loop forming process, the yarn forms a loop, which becomes a knitted fabric after longitudinal stringing and horizontal connection. So looping is the basic process of knitting. The looping process can be broken down into the following stages in order:

Unwinding: moving the newly formed loop (called the old loop) from the hook to the needle bar;

Yarn: feeding the yarn onto the needles;

Yarn bending: bending the yarn into the shape of a coil;

With yarn: move the yarn on the new pad or the loop that has just been bent into the needle hook;

Closed mouth: Close the needle mouth of the knitting needle;

Loop: Put the old loop on the hook with the needle closed.


2. Continuous loop: the new yarn or new loop meets the old loop inside and outside the hook;

Unlooping: The old loop is taken off the hook and put on the new loop;

Looping: making the yarn form a new loop of closed and specified size;

Pull: Pull the new coil away from the looping area.This new coil becomes the old coil in the next looping cycle. 


There are two types of loop forming process: knitting method and knitting method. In the process of knitting loop formation, each stage of loop formation is carried out in the above order. In the looping process of the knitting method, the bending of the yarn starts from the unlooping and proceeds simultaneously with the looping stage. On some knitting machines, the knitting needles complete the loop forming process in sequence; on some knitting machines, the knitting needles are lined up at the same time in the loop forming process.
